Can I just play Spotify in my store?
No. Personal streaming accounts like Spotify and Apple Music are licensed for personal use only. Their terms do not cover playing music to customers in a business. A business music plan is the simple fix. This is not legal advice.
What do I get for $99 a month?
One original song built around your shop name, an in-store playlist of SONIQ songs, an on-hold version for your phone line, and a written license for your location. New songs get added to your playlist over time.
Do I still need ASCAP, BMI or SESAC?
Not for the SONIQ songs we make and license to you. If you also play other music from other artists, those songs may still need their own licenses. This is not legal advice.
How do I play the music?
You get download links you can play from any phone, tablet, laptop or speaker system. No special box is needed.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel anytime. Your license runs through the last month you paid for.
